Posted by Nicole | Permalink | Comments ( 8 ) | TrackBackGuess who's giving away an adorable tee for your perfect little pooch? Well, it's Danger Radio, Neighborhoodies, Viva La Rock, and peta2 but of course! Read on to see Danger Radio's singer and animal lover, Andrew, gush over his five, yes that's right, FIVE dogs! Then be sure to comment below to win a free tee for your favorite four-legged friend, courtesy of our pals over at Neighborhoodies! Take it away, Andrew:
What's new and exciting for Danger Radio?
Well we just finished recording our album and it should be dropping into stores this summer! We have a ton of amazing tours lined up with some of our really good friends. So we are all really excited for that and that's about it for now. It's just amazing though to finally see things happening. We have been a band for years now and are finally putting out our first album. It's a freakin' dream come true.

Do you have any companion animals? If so, what are their names and tell me some cute/funny stories about them!
Haha I have 5 dogs! That probably sounds really absurd, but what happened was when my sister and I were a little younger (more like just 3 years ago or so) we randomly found 4 dogs (puppies). All in different places, a few months apart from each other and just had to take them home. One of them our friend actually found at a house while driving to our home and saw these kids chasing this poor 4 month old puppy around with a stick and she just felt the need to take it away from them and brought it over. I don't really know what my parents were thinking when they kept saying yes, but they just couldn't turn any of them away. It's totally fine though because those dogs get more attention than my sister and I do. Their names are: Bella, Hunter, Buddy, Ari, and Galla. Buddy is the one we have had the longest...and when I'm at home he comes up to my room and sleeps in bed with me every night until I fall asleep because he knows I am kind of scared of sleeping by myself. Then he leaves after I pass out.
What do you think about people who leave their dogs chained up in the backyard 24/7?
I think that is cruel. Would you do that to your children? Haha I don't know. If you can't handle how needy your dog is, then you shouldn't have one. I never really had any pets growing up and then in the last 4 years we got a little more than we ever expected to have. And they are definitely a blessing and have added so much happiness to our lives, but they are a whole lot of work. They need a lot of attention and love and I definitely don't think they should be chained up and left alone outside 24/7.

Why do you think it's important to speak up for something that you believe in?
It's always important to speak your mind and tell people your opinion on things. If you don't say it, there is a good chance no one else will. If everyone just held back and never spoke out about anything, think about how different the world would be today.
Thanks so much, Andrew!!
Now don't forget to comment below for your chance to win! Tell me who the lucky recipient would be if you won the very fashionable doggie tee from Neighborhoodies and you just might win it!
Contest ends May 1 and the lucky winner will be notified by May 8.

Hey! I have five doggehs, too!
Rennie looks the cutest all dressed up, and she's a small; but if I were to win a medium sized outfit, the other four dogs (Ralphie, Peedee, Kaylee and Jayne) could share. So, tough call :)
Posted by: kelly g. at April 10, 2008 5:23 PMMy one and only dog Willy would receive the T-shirt. :)
Posted by: Kyle at April 10, 2008 8:28 PMMy little pup pipin would wear his shirt at night to keep his little body warm. He's a black dauchound and he wears a small.
Posted by: heather at April 11, 2008 12:50 PMOut of my four dogs, my teacup poodle Oliver would be the model! Teacup poodle...you're probably thinking I paid hundreds for him, right? Wrong! A little less than two months ago, it was freezing cold and raining outside. While I was eating lunch, by the house being built behind mine, I saw a little black speck running around who, after I finally went out in the disgusting weather to investigate, put up signs and ran ads and never got a call about, is now named Oliver and my best buddy. Somebody clearly didn't want him (and I can't imagine why!) - when I found him, he was horribly skinny annd had a big cut on his face. He's the best puppy anybody could ever ask for, and I'm sure he'd love a Neighborhoodies tee!
Posted by: Abby Van Duker at April 11, 2008 7:45 PMI have 6 dogs! I love Danger Radio and I'm sooo glad to see him supporting PETA2!
Posted by: Adrianna Fonseca at April 12, 2008 10:44 PMmy cat smoky would receive this shirt because he wants to be a dog so if he wore the shirt he would think he is a dog, but if he didn't like it one of my two German shepherds could wear it.
Posted by: laura at April 13, 2008 11:51 AMI have one dog named Minnie. She's a white toy poodle who I think is just so smart. She weighs about 3 pounds and doesn't really have curly fur. She's the glue in my family. Like, when someone is feeling upset or sad or even just tired, she'll come find you and lick you and cuddle with you. She always always always brings a smile to anyone's face.
