Have you ever seen the innoncent way that animals depend on the people who care for them? How they tenderly look up to them for love and life? Why would you want to harm something so pure, the way they depend on us is that of childs. You wouldn't kill a child, why would you kill a chicken? Love is universal and so is life. It's something that is to be shared and is trans specist. Even if you eat them, why make them suffer more than you would a cow?

Chickens are just not nuggets. Chickens are animals, just like humans are animals. However, I don't see any humans being made into human nuggets, tenders, burgers, etc. Plus, chickens can be pets, just like cats and dogs. We used to raise chickens, and sell the babies to parents around Easter. Chickens are definately not made to be nuggets, or Adam and Eve would have been eating chicken nuggets.

Chickens are not nuggets. Although many people these days claim they agree with and stand by that phrase, most of them don't. I do. Chickens are not nuggets because they are living, breathing creatures, not a nugget or any other type of food. It's like a chicken killing you and making you into little bit size pieces to be eaten. It's just wrong.

To many omnivores, a chicken nugget seems like a perfectly natural thing to eat. Even though it contains the word chicken, a lot of people never make the connection to a living, breathing animal. Now let me ask you, would you eat a nugget made out of one of your pets? Perhaps a dog nugget? A hamster nugget? A cat nugget? I would take a guess and say you would not. There is nothing natural about eating animals.

Now many people may say that there are large differences between their pets and a chicken. These are differences I can't see. Sure, they make look different, have different personalities and eat different things, but aren't they all alive? Don't they all feel pain? Could you consider your pet being killed in a vicious way. Chickens have no consideration under the humane slaughter act, meaning they can be scalded alive, their throats slit while they are conscious and many other horrible fates. How is that nugget looking now?

The most hypocritical thing you can hear is when someone tells you an animal lover while they're chowing down on some chicken nuggets. I once heard a quote that I think fits this situation perfectly "Someone who says they're an animal lover but eats meat is like a cannibal saying they're a 'people person'". Now if you really love animals would you consume their flesh for your night meal? Would you think nothing of all of the animals you are responsible for killing, for torturing? I don't see how you can think like that.

I'm sure there are some people who will say "I don't like animals" and continue chowing down on the deceased body of an animal. Well just because I don't like my neighbour, should I torture, kill and eat them? No, that would be considered murder. I'm not trying to suggest that eating a chicken is cannibalism, but if you wouldn't consider eating a person you don't like, why would you eat an animal just because you don't like it? It's a ridiculous response to the question "Why are you still eating meat?" a question that is being asked more and more lately.

Next time you're browsing through a shelf at the grocery store or ordering at a restaurant, take the time to think. In an age like today, where eating no animal products can be healthier than eating any animal products, where everything happens so fast, stop for a minute and think. Is that chicken nugget really worth it?

Maybe not our language, but they do communicate with their own kind. Other chickens. They have families, they raise their young, and stick together looking out for one another. They combine love, teamwork, and courage to protect one another without being discriminatory or hurtful of other chickens. How many humans can you say even behave in such an amiable way? No matter how you say it, chicken is CHICKEN and nothing but the living creature it once was before it was de-beaked, boiled and tortured. Would you send a million human babies down a line by their ankles to dip them in boiling water and cut off THEIR noses? I highly doubt it...so, why steal away others babies to put in your stomach especially when their are other more ethical things to eat. Chicken are not nuggets. In any way, shape or form. If you think they are, their is something not right with you.

Chickens are definately NOT nuggets. How can someone brutally murder a fellow living creature with no regard, and then feast upon it like a ravenous beast?! Those chickens have families, feelings, thoughts, and lives. They deserve the right to live, too. I dont see any chickens coming to murder us, so why should we do that to them or any other creature. Every living being has a right to live. Just because we cant understand what a chicken's cluck means and they look different than we are doesnt mean that they dont have a life. Every living being on earth is beautiful in its own way. Even though many people feel that it is okay to eat chickens because they aren't as "cute" as other animals doensn't mean they aren't beautiful creatures. Every animal has a right to live free of oppression and suffering. Unfortunately, this is not the case for many animals, including humans. If you were to trade places with them and endure what they endure you wouldn't be to keen on saying they or the issue doesn't matter.

Chickens are not nuggets for a simple reason: they're CHICKENS! Nowhere in the definition of 'chicken' does the phrase "meant to be turned into food for humans" appear. Instead, the definition should read something like this: "intelligent, thinking, feeling animals prone to dust-bathing and known to display evidence of families and methods of communication." I lived on a farm till almost 5 yrs old, but I do remember the chicks. We had about a hundred of them, and their little ones. They are shy, sweet and stuck in my memory everytime I see, "I am Not a Nugget" add. The food chains for nuggets or poppers try to make people forget where the nugget even came from. The first time I saw "I am Not a Nugget", it was so profound yet a simple expression of what PETA stands for. Thanks for always making people aware that they are living, breathing, loving animals.

Chickens are not nuggets because they have hearts. They can be loving and loyal, just like our furry canine friends, but society just brushes them off as dirty farm animals. My cousin was given a pet chick and I instantly fell in love with him. When I heard he died the other week at the farm where he was living, I was very sad, but at least he got to live a free life that wasn't cut short to be someone's fast food meal. I wish every chicken could have that chance. This country is so worried about our waistlines anyway, if everyone just cut out fast food, not only would they be living healthier, but they'd be saving millions of chickens AND cows. More importantly though, Chickens arn't nuggets, they live, breathe, eat, give birth (even if its threw eggs). they feel pain. They (like most other animals) depend on us to make sure that they're safe. Because unlike us, they can't defend themselves if someone is trying to hurt them, all they can do is try to run, and they havent done anything to deserve to be treated this way. They don't go around scolding humans alive for their food. They just take what the world gives them. Or, what we give them.

People wouldnt think of doing it to another person, because they know that they'll get in trouble, or they know that its wrong, but they dont think about it being wrong to kill an animal, they just think "I need to eat, and the chickens don't care, they're just a stupid animal" but they're wrong. People hear words like 'iguana nugget' or 'cow nugget' or something, and they call it gross, but you mention 'chicken nugget' and they're like "oh! those are so good!" (i know this cause I had this conversation with my boyfriend) I was disgusted. Its mostly because we grew up eating them, and knowing that they're 'meant' to be food. but its completley wrong, if we grew up eating 'cow nuggets' then we wouldnt think its so gross.

Chickens are not nuggets, because God put them on Earth to raise one another, gain courage, and love each other. God didn't put them upon this planet to be ripped apart by inhumane savages! Chickens can feel, too. When those evil workers hang them from those metal latches, and cut their throats open they are exposed to the pain. They don't live their whole lives numb and feel nothing. When those workers debeak them when they are just litle baby chicks, it hurts them! When they depluck them, they bleed, just like people! [[Minus the feathers]] But just because they have feathers doesn't mean they are different from us! They just make them more beautiful, and softer. Their feathers aaren't for pillows or clothes or other stupid material things. They are for warmth and protection for those innocent animals. And when those evil people scald them, they can feel their flesh burning, and dipped into the boiling hot water. And when their feet are latched, they can feel the stinging. When their throats are slit, they can feel their own blood dripping from their flesh!

Chickens and animals are better than stupid material things. They deserve the love that people give to their cell phones. When people drop their cell phones-which can't feel the pain!- they pick right back up and try to comfort the stupid object! When people rip a dollar, they try to put it back together! But when those workers break the chickens bones, no one runs in and tries to perfect them again!

Some people raise chickens as their pets! How would people who have pets like for their animals be ripped apart and eaten by savages!? They wouldn't! How would they like their animals, instead of being pet and loved, to be roasted dogs and baked hamsters!? They wouldn't! Some people say that they are animal lovers, but still keep on going and eating them! They might not know all the facts, but I know that everyone knows a few! And shouldn't just a few be enough!?

Chickens raise families, and love each other just like us! So why don't they deserve the love and respect we give each other!? They are smart animals! People are animals also, so why don't we raise babies and hook them up to latches and cut their throats!? Because it's inhumane! So, why isn't hurting animals inhumane!? Because it definitley should be!

I thought that the founding fathers declaired America as a free country. But why should that only include people!? When the slaves fought for themselves, the earned the freedom they have now! And we all earn the freedom we have today! But animals can't!? That is so stupid, and pointless! Animals deserve every right that we have!

So when you beging to thaw out your chicken for dinner, just stop right there! Think about how those evil workers behave torwards those defenseless animals, turn around, and stop eating them!

Chickens are not nuggets. They are social, kind animals who don't deserve to be stuffed into cages with no room to move. My sister was recently loading groceries into her car when she heard a woman in the parking space next to her talking to someone. (My sister thought it was a child.) When my sister turned around, she found the woman wasn't talking to her child, but rather her PET chicken, who was in the back seat of the car. I know it sounds crazy, but my sister (who still eats chicken and actually had chicken thighs in her grocery bag) ended up having this long conversation with the woman about how sweet and social the chicken was. The chicken actually liked going for rides in the car and sat on a little pillow in the back seat.

Of course, this is an extreme story, but what isn't extreme is that every spring, my daughters and I go to the tack and feed store to visit the baby chicks. This precious moment would be undermined if I were eating their parents!

Finally, I leave you with a story that shows that the logical vegetarian side of my has been around a long time. I guess that when I was little, my mom would be feeding me chicken as I sat in my high chair. I would ask her what it was that I was eating, and when she told me, I would respond, sadly, "Ohhhhhhhh....poor cocka doo!"

Someday, when we have killed all of the chickens because of being stupid and mindless, where do we go from there? What about babies? They can't fight back. They cry, sure, but don't chickens scream? So why should this seem so bad? It sounds nasty, that's why it's bad. Cook baby flesh, use them for food. Really nasty. But cooking chicken flesh and using them for food, now why doesn't that sound nasty? It should because it is! No one should have to go through life in a cage being hurt. Chickens spend their life (if you can even call it a life) crammed in places that are too small for them, have their beaks cut off with hot sharp tools, and are forced to make more eggs then they would if left alone. Now humans, after we have led a good hard work filled life, we can look forward to retirement. Chickens, yeah right. After they can't produce anymore eggs they are killed, boiled alive. It's nasty. It's wrong. It's the truth. A chicken isn't a nugget because that chicken is someone's mother, sister, brother.

Chickens are not nuggets because they are living beings. Chickens, like everyone else, can hurt, experience pain and feel scared. One can't look at a dog and see a pet and look at a chicken and see food. It's cruel and primitive for this day and age.

Chickens are not nuggets because they don't want to be nuggets and we dont want them to be nuggets..(the few compassionate who agree) It is truly up to us whether they become nuggets or not and I feel as though to really get the idea of what a chicken becoming a nugget is like.. we should stick a human on a shishkabob stoke and slowly take turns cooking them over a scolding hot flame...but before that is done cut their nose off through a beak cutting machine along with the rest of their measly little nugget eating friends. chickens are not nuggets because they have heart beats and I'm sure eating something with a heart is somewhere along the lines of cannibalism which is by far the most disgusting thing I have ever seen, thanks hannibal lecter. And for all you anti-abortion women out there...if you eat meat, that's the same as aborting a baby, I'm sure the naive do not view it as that even though you are killing a living thing that yes, still has a heart beat, when their poor little bodies are slammed against the cold metal cages in meat producing factories. Chickens are NOT nuggets, they are living creatures. They think, feel, act and have emotions so what gives us the right to kill them? No living creature, large or small, deserves to be treated in the way that factory hens are. Baby chicks are hatched in incubators, not even able to see their mothers and then thrown straight into the production line and shipped out to farms for a life of misery, pain and slaughter.

Chickens have a right to life. A happy, carefree life that we all take for granted. I only hope that people will se the error of their ways when it comes to eating them for their pleasure - it's disgusting.

They are beautiful, cute, loving animals and deserve to be treated with the respect they throughly deserve. Unfortunately, these poor defenceless animals are thrust into the blood thirsty world and produced as nuggets.

I can only keep campaigning and persuading to stop these poor little bundles of feathers being brutaly murdered.

In a natural world, McDonald's would not exist. No fast food would exist. Nuggets would not exist.

In the natural world, if someone ate a chicken, it would be the whole chicken....they WOULD NOT just cut the chicken into little pieces and deep fry them...

Therefore, naturally, chickens are NOT nuggets.

i personally think that chickens are only to be pets, to love and nurture, honesly, i just want to gag when i think that people could eat my pet chicken, fluff! i just think it is terrible that people could eat her. i personally wouldn't eat another living thing, if i was about to die from starvation. ugh it is so sad that these cute and cudley creatures are used for food, and entertainment. the best part of my day is watching my chicken run freely around my backyard in the country.

I "adopted" chickens from my class when we hatched them in fourth grade. I haven't eaten meat ever since. I never knew that they would follow you, even when they weren't hungry. My favourite hen, Tiny, used to eat from my hand, and sit on my lap. They're so docile. I could never chickens them as anything other than friends.

If I could I would want to make a house for chickens complete with a Plasma Screen TV, Computer with Peta2 as its screensaver, beds, baths, shower heads, and pools. Chickens are not for us to grid into food and sell for a few dollars at a fast food chain. They are living breathing life just like a cat or dog. Would you ever eat your cat or dog? I don’t think so. Chickens can feel pain just like humans. It is not our place to eat chickens. They are not nuggets, and it’s our job to be their voice.

What is the difference between a chicken and a human? I would say not much, actually hardly anything with exception to a single point. Humans can voice an opinion through speech and appeal strongly to other humans. And they have the guarantee to be heard if not listened to. A chicken doesn't have that voice and is capable of being truly helpless. So when a chicken is killed he or she is killing an animal who cannot fight back, who doesn't have the strength. To take advantage of beings who cannot fight us by themselves just for greed and gluttony is in fact cold blooded murder.

Secondly, how many people would eat a human; fried and put into a bucket? How would a person react if they heard that there were farms where humans were grown on artificially induced hormones just so that they can see the blade of the slaughter house? It would cause a scandal beyond description there would be protests everywhere... but if it is a chicken nobody says a word? Aren't we all animals? A chicken, too doesn't want to live his or her life seeing only the inside of a cage and a slaughter house...Breeding a chicken for death should be seen as breeding a human for the same destination. Aren't we all not born to die?

This is why I think a chicken is NOT a nugget. (Or anything else edible)

Chickens are living, breathing beings just as humans are. Mother chickens can communicate with their eggs. We have no right to eat a living animal. It's wrong to kill another person so in no way is it right to kill a chicken. Just because we have the ability to kill them doesn't mean that we can determine who's life is more significant.
