Seriously, what's the deal with Al Gore? He makes this hit documentary, "An Inconvenient Truth", focused entirely on global warming and how we can each do our part to stop it. Yet, when we inform him that eating animals is the #1 cause of global warming, he ignores all the facts. It's not like he couldn't stand to lose a few pounds anyways. Perhaps it's just too inconvenient of a truth for him?
That's why we're here to remind him. We'll be following Gore around the country, stopping at several environmental group headquarters along the way, with a giant Hummer driven by a person in a chicken costume. Across the side, it will proudly state that meat is the top cause of global warming. Not to mention, this amazing billboard will be going up shortly in cities across America. Getting the message yet, Al?

The New York Times heard about the whole situation and printed an amazing article in the paper today, basically confirming that if he really cared about the environment, he'd stop supporting the cruelest and most destructive industry on Earth.
If you haven't taken the Veg Pledge yet, trust me, there's no better time to give it a try.

It is great that you want him to become a veg, but I think they are going about it wrong. Hummers pollute the air, and even though he is too, doesn't mean it's right that we do it.
Posted by: Erica at August 30, 2007 9:16 PMHey man, please don't do the Hummer thing. I'm vegan and I don't even like this. You should have the chicken drive around in a hybrid with the fact "vegetarianism is the best thing for the planet" or something like that. Remember, we're all in this together.

Wow, and i liked him.....thats sad what he wont switch, i mean i was 13 when i did it and my little brother 11! So why is it sooooo hard for a rich grown man? I can't vote, but I'm glad to hear about this, you guys do a great job. Keep up the good work!
Posted by: Hayley at August 31, 2007 5:48 PMMaybe you could drive a hummer that runs on biodiesel. Then you don't have to hurt the environment to make a statement to save it.
Posted by: Jamie at September 5, 2007 8:05 PMit's a really cool idea but PLEASE don't drive a HUMMER. Why not drive a hybrid or at least a regular not oversized car.
Posted by: Laura at September 6, 2007 11:30 AMI love the idea, and the bilboard is GREAT!! but you dont have to drive a hummer to make a statement. I think it would make even more of a statement ifyou drove a hybrid car. or any car thats good for the environment. :]
Posted by: Caitlyn at September 9, 2007 2:31 PMi totally love the idea ! buth i veliv u shurent drive a fansy car to make a good statement mm i u can get to drive one of does eectricity cragin cars that are good 4 the emviorment will be grate !! o well god luc on turning him vegan kisses
Posted by: sofia o. abregu at February 22, 2008 11:31 AMI think the idea about driving a hummer is to drive home the point that a vegetarian driving a hummer has a lower carbon foot print than a meat eater driving a hybrid car ... this is obviously true as the meat industry is the main culprit of green house gas emission, more than all forms of transportation combined.. However it still won't hurt the message if the hummer is powered by bio-diesel.
