Have you ever really thought about how your products were tested before you bought them? If you're anything like me, when you come across labels that say "This product has not been tested on animals" you think it's pretty amazing. However, up until about four years ago, it never occurred to me to wonder how my products that were curiously free of testing information were tested. After doing a bit of research, I was horrified to find out that animals are burned, blinded, and poisoned all for something as trivial as mascara. Yup, bunnies are blinded for someone to have plumper lashes. What company is going to want to put that on its label?
Luckily there are many, many awesome companies out there that don't test on animals. Revlon, Origins, wet n wild, M.A.C., and Avon all offer great products that aren't tested on animals (to see more companies that don't test on animals, click here. Oh, and just in case you haven't gotten a chance to check it out yet, don't forget to enter our sweet Smashbox Cosmetics giveaway. Please don't rub it in my face if you win--I'm still not very pleased that I'm not allowed to enter!
Anyway, I'm getting off track as usual, but I wanted to let you know about our fun new "How Cruelty-Free is Your Morning Routine?" quiz. Click here to take the quiz. Let me know what you think of it!
