Colonel Sanders Gets What's Coming To Him February 1, 2007

Yesterday in KFC's hometown of Louisville, PETA's Lindsay Rajt—along with some Louisville locals—held a rather eye-catching protest against KFC and Colonel Sanders. One of the activists dressed up as the evil Colonel while another, well, slit his throat. OK, not really, but it's a pretty good visual!
(Yes, that's right—the second photo is indeed from the Colonel's perspective.)
All kidding aside, this kind of torture is what the more than 850 million chickens raised for KFC each year go through on a daily basis. No matter if you're a vegetarian or not, you have to admit that slitting a live animal's throat (no matter if they are a human animal or some other species) is completely fucked.

heh, i shoulda went. it is about a 20 min drive from where i live. i didnt know that they were gonna protest there though...oh well, ill catch the next ride around.
