Ricci Has a Change of Heart December 19, 2006

Fur-free at last!

Christina Ricci is now fur-free! Apparently being named to peta2's "worst dressed" list was something that she and her fans have taken very seriously—and rightly so. It's far worse to be caught wearing the fur of tortured animals than it is to be considered worst dressed because your taste in clothes sucks or you're stuck with a wretched stylist, at least most of those fashionably challenged people have hearts. After as she put it, "...being deluged with angry and disappointed fans" who were alerted to her fur-wearing ways by peta2, Christina has had a change of heart, and has decided to stop wearing fur. And to that I say, "Well done, fans!" and "Thanks, Christina!" Now I can watch Mermaids, 200 Cigarettes, and Sleepy Hollow again without all that loathing. This just goes to show you that celebrities do care what their fans think; at least the smart ones do anyway.

YAY! I was so mad when I found out. I liked her, but it wasn't the same when I heard she wore fur...I'm glad she did the right thing!

I am so glad that she has decided to stop wearing fur. I can't stand seeing people in fur, it sickens me knowing that an animal had to be harmed to clothe some selfish person, who doesn't even stop to think twice about what they are doing to the animals in the world. I have been a vegetarian for about a year and a half now and I will never go back to the "dark side".
