No More Bacon for Dakota Fanning December 15, 2006

Charlotte's Web starts today. Yay! With any luck, kids all over the planet will declare that they're not eating pigs anymore, just like Dakota Fanning did when she visited the ladies of The View last week. It's actually already started, according to Rosie...

Go see it this weekend, I am!

i was watching the Ellen Degenerous SHow, and she was saying how she cant eat pigs anymore, knowing how smart they are.

do you think charlotte's web gives an unrealistic portrayl of modern farm life for animals? Even though it's great that lot's of kids will walk away from this movie as new vegetarians, it's also sad that they will probably have the idea that all farms are places with healthy happy animals with no hint of industrialization. I still don't know how I feel about charlotte's web.

Charlette's Web also teamed up with Nick for the 'Save Wilbur' campaign, which is against eating pigs.

yep. with movies like charlots web and babe, i wonder how anyone who was a kid in the 90's can even eat meat. all the movies were about animals and nature, this definitely affected me. its probobly why im a vegetarian. im glad dakota made the right decision...

I am so loving these movies coming out, where they address animal problems; Over the Hedge (human encroachment), Happy Feet (overfishing, pollution), and Open Season (hunting).
