As if the meat industry didn't already have enough wrong with it, now there's this: A poultry slaughterhouse in Stillmore, Georgia has begun to bus in convicted felons to fill its vacant jobs. (The jobs are vacant because the plant was employing illegal immigrants … Fast Food Nation much?)
Now let's think about this for just a second, shall we? Undercover investigations into slaughterhouses all across the country—like KFC-supplier Pilgrim's Pride in West Virginia, Butterball's Ozark, Arkansas plant, and Tyson's chicken slaughterhouse in Heflin, Alabama—have found workers scalding live animals, tearing their heads off, spraying spraypaint in their faces, and sexually molesting them. Just imagine what kinds of horrific abuse will occur when the workers are convicted felons.
PETA's own Bruce Friedrich said it best: "Placing animals in the care of convicts with violent histories is like putting children in the care of child molesters."

i agree with stacey….i really prefer animals to people….well, most people, anyway….people on this site are ok….i would rather live with lions….they're less vicious….
