Q: What's More Fun Than Smearing Red Paint on a Window? November 16, 2006

A: Nothing!
Today PETA UK officially launched its version of the "Bloody Burberry" campaign in the United Kingdom with a window takeover at the clothing store's flagship store in London. We've been trying to get the company to listen to PETA and its customers for a quite a while now, but they still insist upon selling the skin of tortured animals and calling it "high fashion". After the Burberry runway takeover at the Milan Fashion Show back in September, it was hard to top that, but they did it ...
A group of activists, including peta2 UK's lovely Youth Outreach Coordinator Violet snuck into the store with "Burberry: Death for Sale" and a bit of red paint, and well, pictures speak louder than words.

Since we can't all jump into Burberry's stores' windows, go here to send them a message. (I know, not nearly as exciting, but it helps.) And please, send Violet a message at myspace.com/theviolet to tell her how amazing she is.
