As if it wasn't bad enough that KFC's suppliers torture animals for their greasy buckets of death, now the restaurant has been charged £24,000 (roughly $46,840.80 in U.S. dollars) for a "poisoning risk" at a KFC in the United Kingdom. According to The Sun:

FAST food giant KFC has been fined £24,000 after staff were found to be wearing filthy uniforms and not washing their hands.

Bridgend County Borough Council, in south Wales, took the fried chicken chain to court after environmental health officers spotted a catalogue of failures during two visits to one of its restaurants.

During the first visit to the Bridgend branch, at Heronstone Business Park, on September 25 last year, noted practices which could lead to food poisoning.

Staff were wearing dirty aprons and not washing their hands after handling raw chicken.

A second inspection in May this year found the restaurant in a poor state of cleanliness.

Yesterday, at Bridgend Magistrates Court, KFC pleaded guilty to 12 charges - six on each inspection.

This isn't the first time this kind of thing has happened at KFC. There's even a Web site, KFCMadeMeSick.com, for people to tell their grossest KFC stories. Ugh, just the thought of KFC makes me want to vomit...

It's about time someone took charge and did something about KFC. Although I don't think these charges will stop the killing of the chickens. I think it's a good start!

KFC should be shut down. There is no excuse for the pain and suffering they caused poor animals to go through. May they die and go though the same hell they put those poor animal-victoms in.
