"Perhaps you would think twice about spending your hard-earned cash on shampoo if you knew that the company that manufactured it tested it on animals?"
The folks at CorporateSnitch.com have created a really neat Firefox add-on called CSNotifier that provides you with info on companies animal-testing policies—as well as other business practices such as offshoring and war profiteering—when you're browsing their products online. The best part is that the info on animal-testing comes straight from PETA's Web site CaringConsumer.com.
Click here to install CSNotifier for Firefox. Once it's installed, you'll receive small, non-obtrusive window inside your browser when you view a Web page, with info on the company's current animal-testing status. For example, if you look at Crest toothpaste on Amazon, you'll receive this little pop-up letting you know that Crest's parent company Procter & Gamble still experiments on animals.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: If you don't use Firefox, install it now!
