Tales From The Wild Wild West Coast May 26, 2006

Greetings from Washington (the state not the capital)! Some silly person sent in this picture for the blog. In my totally objective opinion, I think it is a fun idea as long as the principal doesn't send you home early, for, well...using the F word. Although I firmly believe the consumption of dead animals' rotting corpses (a.k.a. meat) is quite inappropriate for kids, as well.

I recently wrapped up five sold out shows with Rise Against in Los Angeles, and then I tabled a couple more with Sick Of It All. The LA shows were great because I got to hear several new songs! The SOIA shows were amazing because that band has been around for twenty years now (longer than most of you have been alive), so they gets lots of respect! On this trip, I also got food from places like Vegan Glory in LA, Veganopolis in Portland, and Mighty-O Donuts in Seattle. Before I head out to spend some time with the guys in Alkaline Trio going back down the coast, there is a festival I'm going to hit up here in the Northwest. I'm pretty excited for that because I also get to catch some live sets from supportive peta2 bands including Death Cab for Cutie.
I'm off to eat some donuts and educate people on what they can do to help stop Kentucky Fried Cruelty. Anyone else have exciting weekend plans?
