As you are probably all very well aware, 335,000 baby harp seals are beaten and skinned for their fur every year in Canada during their cruel annual seal hunt. This year, our pal Pamela Anderson created a petition that she's going to hand-deliver to the Prime Minister of Canada, Stephen Harper, calling for an end to this barbaric practice. And it's about damn time. The Canadian seal hunt is one of the true injustices of our age--hundreds of thousands of innocent baby seals are beaten to death by thugs on the ice flows of Canada just a few weeks after they're born, just to satisfy the vanity of a few ignorant people who don’t realize that it’s the 21st century and we don't need to wear the skins of dead animals to stay warm.
Please send a link to this petition to all of your friends and family encouraging them to take a stand. After you've signed Pam's petition, print out our petition and gather your own signatures to help stop the hunt. After you've filled as many pages as you can, mail them into us and we'll send them along to the Prime Minister of Canada. We'll give you 50 Street Team points for every signup that you get!
Last but not least, use this button to promote the petition on your MySpace, LiveJournal, and other sites. Add it to your page and post it as comments on your friends' pages.

that is just horrifiying to look at and i don't know how anyone can look at that and think it's okay.i want this all to stop! How can anyone with a heart do this and call it a sport!!there is noo reason and it's not a sport it's MURDER!!!!

It's just a terrible, horrible sport. I mean, they beat helpless baby seal to death with a big stick! I saw the video, and, honestly, I nearly cried... STOP THE HUNT!!!!

in canada we use the entire seal if we kill it,
or most people do at least,
i'm not trying to turn this comment thing around to something else, but last time that i posted, it didnt get poseted, why?
i have no idea, maybe because, it explained how it isnt wrong at time to hunt seal

There are many ways to stop it!! Boycott any product from Canada! Do not visit Canada! Let them know why you are doing this! Nothing will stop unless you put a damper on their economy!!! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM CANADA UNTIL THEY FINISH THIS HORRIBLE BEHAVIOR!
Google all the sites that have petition's going and add your signature! Hey the only thing you are doing is adding your signature!
Make sure you leave a comment! Don't just just do a quick signature and think you did your duty!!! That's crap! Leave a nasty comment that they will not forget!
OK you don't feel creative then... no problem! Just page down and see the other comments and COPY AND PASTE!!!! Get one that really express what you feel! And paste unto your own!
I have this in all my websites. If you have a site or a page where your friends come to see your pics and stuff. Put all the info there.
This thugs need to be tought a lesson. Would you want a BABY SEAL KILLER LIVING IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD? I don't think so. SPREAD THE WORD AND NETWORK your feelings about this horrible Human behavior. Are we back to the Stone Age???

this is so horible..how can people DO things like this!? It's just horible, and there's no reason for it...i HATE unters and people who are cruel to animals. everyone in my house eats meat,I can't stand it..but what can i do? there's no changing their minds. When i move out when i'm 18 my house won't have any meat what so ever! accept for meat that's still alive..(my dog Dakota) oh yeah, and O'syrus.. my parrot
